SRM and Baker's Twine

I sing their praises constantly!!!

And we used their twine on our pillow box samples...
http://www.customscrapbookstuff.blogspot.com/search/label/Pillow%20Box

And I had a GREAT chat with someone about SRM's twine. It comes in a GIANT role of 240 yards and retails for $14-$15. So, it's a GREAT price!!! But not everyone NEEDS 240 yards of one color!

So, I was sharing with this store owner that, at my store, we break up the spools into single packs and then a large multi-pack.

The single packs are 20 yards of one color.

The large multipack:
10 yards per color of their original non-shimmer colors
(not including their new natural color):

They asked additional questions about how we did it...

The single packs are on a shape cut out of chipboard on our large die cut machine. But it could be on any shape or square or rectangle chipboard piece. The staff cut the twine and wrapped the chipboard and then packaged it in clear sleeves. They used old paper that wasn't selling well as the background for the single packs. And then printed labels on regular sheets of paper and stapled them together.

They look cute and sell LIKE CRAZY!!!

You can buy SRM's twine by individual spools!

Graduation is just around the corner!!!

It's time to stock up on Graduation papers
for your local schools!

#909
This paper allows you to customize the color of the mortar board, tassle, and ribbon. You can also add in two lines of text. Do you see in the middle where is says "Your School Here"? That's one and it shows in 5 places. And then there is a repeating (small) "2013"  towards the top right and then the middle left and then further down on the left.

#922
This is a great template for graduation, "Class of ...", a school name, or even the name and/or degree of a person. What about a whole elementary classroom? LOTS of choices! And you can make the borders the same color as the rest and remove the lines.

Choose the background color, the mortar board color, and then colors for the two rows of text.
You can do the Senior class for your local High School(s).
Or, maybe a specific classroom wants to do a paper for Mrs. Golden's First Grade Promotion.
Or use them for graduation announcements for a specific person, a specific degree, a specific date, etc.

LOTS of choices!!

GREAT for invitations/graduation announcements!

Use them for a specific School, a Specific Class, or a specific person!
Maybe someone is graduating from Grad School....
Substitute their name and their degree!

Some other papers that would be great for invitations, party favors, or scrapbook pages:

New Template!!!

We have had the ability to print a custom page, but it wasn't as easy as I had thought it was....  There was this complicated upload process and it was incredibly manual and blah, blah, blah...

Well, we are working on a SUPER SIMPLE upload template!!!

YES!

A new template!!!

You would click on the template, upload the photo, and then even have the option to add words at the top and/or the bottom. You will have options as to which font, and which size you want that font!

Amazing!!

We are still finalizing and testing it, but it will be our first new template!

YAY! FINALLY! We've been waiting as long and as eagerly as you!!

We have a TONNNNN of other template ideas queued up too, so please stay tuned!!

Pillow Boxes!!!

I just picked up the Pillow Boxes from SRM for our promotional offer...

Due to the OVEWHELMING response we had to our email about using our papers for party favors (featuring SRM Pillow Boxes), we are offering a deal to stores who order $50 in papers or more at once...

Eventually, we will have an "item" on our ordering portal, but until then, order $50 in product or more and then email us to tell us you want the "deal" and when we have it ready, we will send you (at no charge) 6 sample sheets of paper, plus 6 medium pillow boxes from SRM for you to make party favor samples for your store to advertise for weddings, birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs, quenceaneras, etc.

We're still working on getting the sample papers together for the offer, but you can place your order now and simply email us to say that you want to get the "deal" and when it's ready, we'll ship it to you!!!

National Scrapbook Day

National Scrapbook Day is coming up!!!! Are you ready??

If you don't know, National Scrapbook Day is the first Saturday in May each year. So this year, it's May 4th. We like to celebrate all weekend!!

What will you do to set your store apart from the rest??? What can you do to set yourself apart from the big boxes???

CUSTOM PAPER!!
(of course!! :) )

Unless another store near you "copies" your design, you will be the ONLY store with that paper.

To date, we do not have any "Big Box" customers, so the "little guy" can actually have something that the big boxes can't offer!

Stock up on papers for your local schools, sports, events, etc....

Are you a Brick & Mortar store? We just sent out an email... did you get it? If not, let us know. We can forward you our application and once we receive the completed application and appropriate licensing, we can forward you a special NSD email!

Another Change....

So, we don't want you to have to be "clicking" all over the place to see our templates, so we didn't want to set up subcategories for the papers.... BUT, we did want to reorganize them...

So, we now have the "general" papers at the top - INCLUDING "Custom Leather Grain" Left just above "Custom Leather Grain" Right... (before they were probably 8 templates away from each other).

Next are all of the school papers.

Then sports, then beach, then formal, then Make-It-Your-Own, then the swatch.

We really hope you like the reorganization!!!

BTW, we *ARE* working on new templates, but there are other things that need to be done first to set us up to be able to design new templates....

First, is the reorganization, then we will add new colors (we are confirming pantone colors and getting sample print outs to be sure), then adding new fonts.... and THEN, we can get to adding new templates and modifying current ones. BUT BELIEVE ME!!! We are all working hard on getting things going! This month, we should see our first new template, and maybe 2!!! Fingers crossed!
